The Hidersine Vivente violin is available in various sizes, including Full size (4/4), 3/4 size (Three Quarter), 1/2 size (Half), and the 1/4 size (One Quarter) mentioned here. The 1/4 size is suitable for children around 6 years old, while the 3/4 size is ideal for older children around 11 or 12 years of age. The 1/2 size is appropriate for children around 8 years old. Your Vivente violin or viola is supplied as an outfit, which is to say it is complete with what you need to get started. Besides the instrument itself, also included is an oblong case with internal accessory compartments and an outer music pocket. The attractive Hidersine case has a light-reflective strip on the outer cover, a zipped opening and a comfy handle too.

Most importantly, your Vivente outfit includes a Brazilwood bow, without which no sound is possible. Just tighten the hair, apply a little of the included Hidersine rosin, and the bow is ready to play… as you will be too.

This is important because your instrument’s primary voice is formed by this sound-table, and therefore the top can resonate as a single, coherent structure and sound great as a result. Plus, as the wood ages and the solid tonewood top gradually relaxes at a cellular level into its natural rest state, it will resonate even naturally, and the sound will improve further. Winner!

Ebony - Feels great, plays great:

Vivente violins, violas and cellos all benefit from a genuine Ebony fingerboard and pegs. This prized hardwood has traditionally been used for fingerboards and pegs for hundreds of years due to its truly long-lasting properties. Unlike stained or ‘ebonized’ softwoods often used on student instruments, genuine Ebony will not mark, pit or wear out under lengthy playing periods. Rather it will remain structurally sound for a very long time, and will also feel smooth on the fingers, helping make the playing experience more pleasant all round.

An Exclusive Appearance:

Hidersine Vivente instruments not only have a solid top, but they also have solid Maple ribs and backs too. These solid tonewood sections further enhance the instrument’s natural tone. The top produces the instrument’s primary voice, and the back and sides add the character.

The solid Maple core is enhanced further by it's finish. This is a special finishing technique which gives the appearance of visually top-grade maple, so your Vivente instrument has the appearance of a much more exclusive instrument.

Most orders are dispatched via Australia Post or one of our courier partners, depending on the shipping service selected and your delivery location.

Once your order has been dispatched, you'll receive a shipping confirmation by email. Where a tracked service has been selected, this will also include your tracking information.

Spend $129 or more in a single order and receive FREE tracked shipping Australia-wide. You'll receive tracking information by email once your order has been dispatched.

Express Shipping is a fully tracked priority Express Service offered through Australia Post and Team Global Express. A tracking number will be provided once your order has been shipped. Please allow approximately 1–2 business days for metro areas and additional time for regional and remote destinations, including some areas of WA, NT and North QLD.

Standard Shipping is a fully tracked service offered through Australia Post. Tracking information will be provided once your order has been shipped. Please allow 2–6 business days for delivery of your order. NT and WA customers should allow approximately 6–8 business days.

Courier Shipping is available to most areas across Australia, with deliveries handled by CouriersPlease, Aramex, Team Global Express or another suitable courier partner, depending on your location. Please allow approximately 2–8 business days for delivery. Tracking information will be emailed to you once your order has been dispatched.

Economy Shipping (Untracked) is our low-cost economy option, sent via Australia Post using postage stamps — good old-fashioned snail mail. This service does not include tracking. You'll receive an email confirmation once your order has been dispatched from our warehouse, but no tracking number or delivery updates will be available.

Please allow approximately 5–12 business days for delivery. We do not recommend untracked shipping for time-sensitive orders; please select a tracked or Express service if you need your order by a particular date. Music2u will not replace missing items under the untracked Economy Shipping option.

Customer pickup is available from our Dingley Village, Melbourne VIC 3172 location. Pickup orders are generally processed within 24 hours, Monday–Friday. Once your order is ready, you'll receive an email and text message with your unique parcel locker code. Your order can then be collected from the Music2u Parcel Box 24/7, at a time that suits you. Please wait until you receive your ‘Order Ready’ text/email before arriving to collect your order. Your order will not be available for collection before this notification has been sent.

If an item is unavailable or requires additional time to arrive, we'll contact you by phone or email. If you require an urgent pickup, please contact us before ordering so we can confirm the stock is available onsite.
