Gabriel Faure - Complete Songs Volume 3 High Voice Book and Online Audio

The Complete Verlaine Settings

Authoritative high voice edition of Faure’s most important art songs, combining scholarly accuracy with performer-focused insight.

Gabriel Faure Complete Songs Volume 3 for High Voice brings together some of the most significant works from the heart of his vocal output. This volume includes the three individual Verlaine settings Claire de lune, Spleen, and Prison, the Op. 58 Venetian Songs, and the complete song cycle La Bonne Chanson.

These seventeen settings of Paul Verlaine represent a major stylistic turning point in Fauré’s compositional career and are widely regarded as cornerstones of the art song repertoire. Edited as part of the acclaimed Complete Songs series, this edition balances rigorous scholarship with practical performance needs, drawing on extensive study of original manuscripts and early printed sources.

The score reflects Fauré’s own performance-informed approach to editing, alongside interpretative insights from musicians who worked directly with him and from documented performance practices. Designed to support confident, informed interpretation, this volume is ideal for advanced singers, accompanists, and educators seeking an authoritative high voice edition with online audio support. 136 pages.
