The original SansAmp Character Series was introduced in 2008. These pedals commemorated a range of eras within specific amplifier personalities, of which there were 8 in total. By simply twisting a few knobs, you could build the most sought-after tones and hot rod your own. From rare vintage classics to roaring modern icons, every variation was delivered in their own distinctive voicings.

We wanted to broaden the range of tonal options and took that concept a step further to include additional building blocks. Because there’s a certain chemistry between specific pairings that will forever be a part of history.  Think Ralph & Alice. Fred & Wilma. Lucy & Ricky.  Abbott & Costello.  Bonnie & Clyde.  They all made a lot of noise and they all had a lot of fun!

With an abundance of knob controls, the 2-channel Character Plus Series pedals are easy to use and feature our proprietary, 100% analog SansAmp technology.  You can explore and tailor various eras within each amp style simply by turning a knob.  Each continuously-variable Character control sweeps through an entire tonal range, spanning decades of sounds. The Character, EQ controls and speaker simulation are individually voiced to reflect the specific personality traits inherent in each amp style.  

Additionally, each of these multi-function pedals is like having a stompbox within a stompbox. (BOGO anyone?) You can use the amp emulation on its own or just the effect on its own.

The Character Plus Series pedals offer significant flexibility and value at a nominal price. Whether you’re frugal or extravagant, you can focus on the one that is your personal favorite or collect them all –and trade them with your friends!

The Character Plus Series celebrates the unique chemistry between specific historic amplifiers and specific historic pedals, and cleverly unites them together in single packages:

  •    Screaming Blonde    =  Fender-style + Tube Screamer-style
  •    English Muffy             =  HiWatt-style + Big Muff-style
  •    Fuzzy Brit                    =  Marshall-style + Fuzz Face-style
  •    Mop Top Liverpool    =  Vox-style + Rangemaster Booster-style

Range of Character Settings:

  • Below 12 o’clock yields clean, classic HiWatt-style tones.  
  • Nearing 12 o’clock brings you into crunchier territory associated with ‘70s Who-style tunes such as Who Are You, Baba O’Riley, and We Won’t Get Fooled Again.
  • Above 12 o’clock accentuates upper mids for Gilmour/Floyd-style leads.  
  • Full up may cause your mate or your lead singer to flee the premises, which could be desirable in certain circumstances.

Independent Muff Section:

  • SUSTAIN to adjust the overall amount of fuzz.
  • TONE is a very musical, specialised passive tilt EQ, based on the original ‘60s stompbox design

Most orders are dispatched via Australia Post or one of our courier partners, depending on the shipping service selected and your delivery location.

Please allow 1–2 business days for order processing, plus the estimated delivery timeframe for your selected shipping service. Delivery times may be longer for rural and remote areas.

Once your order has been dispatched, you'll receive a shipping confirmation by email. Where a tracked service has been selected, this will also include your tracking information.

If your parcel is taking longer than the expected delivery timeframe, please get in touch with us and we'll be happy to follow up with the shipping provider on your behalf.

Free Shipping on Orders Over $129 🚚

Spend $129 or more in a single order and receive FREE tracked shipping Australia-wide. You'll receive tracking information by email once your order has been dispatched.

Express Shipping is a fully tracked priority Express Service offered through Australia Post and Team Global Express. A tracking number will be provided once your order has been shipped. Please allow approximately 1–2 business days for metro areas and additional time for regional and remote destinations, including some areas of WA, NT and North QLD.

Express shipping

Standard Shipping is a fully tracked service offered through Australia Post. Tracking information will be provided once your order has been shipped. Please allow 2–6 business days for delivery of your order. NT and WA customers should allow approximately 6–8 business days.

Australia Post standard shipping

Courier Shipping is available to most areas across Australia, with deliveries handled by CouriersPlease, Aramex, Team Global Express or another suitable courier partner, depending on your location. Please allow approximately 2–8 business days for delivery. Tracking information will be emailed to you once your order has been dispatched.

Courier shipping providers

Economy Shipping (Untracked) is our low-cost economy option, sent via Australia Post using postage stamps — good old-fashioned snail mail. This service does not include tracking. You'll receive an email confirmation once your order has been dispatched from our warehouse, but no tracking number or delivery updates will be available.

Please allow approximately 5–12 business days for delivery. We do not recommend untracked shipping for time-sensitive orders; please select a tracked or Express service if you need your order by a particular date. Music2u will not replace missing items under the untracked Economy Shipping option.

Customer Pickup (South East Melbourne)

Customer pickup is available from our Dingley Village, Melbourne VIC 3172 location. Pickup orders are generally processed within 24 hours, Monday–Friday. Once your order is ready, you'll receive an email and text message with your unique parcel locker code. Your order can then be collected from the Music2u Parcel Box 24/7, at a time that suits you. Please wait until you receive your ‘Order Ready’ text/email before arriving to collect your order. Your order will not be available for collection before this notification has been sent.

If an item is unavailable or requires additional time to arrive, we'll contact you by phone or email. If you require an urgent pickup, please contact us before ordering so we can confirm the stock is available onsite.

Tracking Your Order

For tracked shipping services, you'll automatically receive an email with your tracking link once your order has been dispatched. Simply follow the link to view the latest updates on your parcel's journey.

If your parcel is taking longer than expected, please get in touch with us and we'll be happy to follow up with the shipping provider on your behalf.

If you select Economy Shipping (Postage Stamps), you'll receive an email confirming when your order has been dispatched from our warehouse. As this is an untracked service, no tracking number or delivery updates are available.

Pre-Orders

If your order contains both in-stock and pre-order items, the in-stock items will be dispatched using the shipping method selected at checkout.

When a single pre-order book becomes available, it will generally be sent separately via untracked Australia Post at no additional shipping charge.

If you would prefer your pre-order to be sent via tracked or Express shipping, please contact us and we can arrange this for you. Additional shipping charges may apply.

If multiple pre-order items become available around the same time, we may combine them into one shipment where practical.
