This matching folio includes every song from Bob Dylan 's album Shadows In The Night , the critically acclaimed album of standard pop tunes originally recorded by Frank Sinatra. Featuring all ten songs arranged for Piano, Voice and Guitar, with full lyrics and chord boxes, this songbook is perfect for fans of Dylan , Sinatra or simply fantastic tunes. The album itself was highly anticipated, with Bob Dylan announcing he was "un-covering" a collection of classic pop standards, hand-selected by himself. Dylan is certainly no stranger to cover versions, drawing from the folk tradition in his early career and putting out 2 back-to-back folk cover albums in the early 1990s. The news that this album would be a collection of songs made famous by Sinatra came as a surprise, considering Sinatra's derision of the early days of the folk scene. Despite this, time forged a mutual respect, with Dylan even, perhaps half-jokingly, claiming he was merely a "song and dance man". Dylan 's long-term love for songs such as these resulted in Shadows In The Night , a collection of songs made famous by one of the greatest singers ever, performed by possibly the greatest songwriter ever. Shadows In The Night is not just a collection of standards, however, it's a beautiful reinterpretation of simple songs featuring some of Dylan 's best singing in recent years. With this Bob Dylan sheet music, you can learn all songs from the album, including I'm A Fool To Want You, Full Moon And Empty Arms , and Why Try To Change Me Now . The career of Bob Dylan has been full of twists, turns and continual reinvention. Throughout, though, the consistent thread has been that he dictates his own path, and this album is an intensely personal one. On the album, you can hear the rustling of paper, the measured intake of breath, and you get the real sense that these songs are truly meaningful. The Shadows In The Night sheet music allows you to learn these wonderful new arrangements in their entirety, the subdued Guitar chords, the Piano accompaniment, and Dylan 's unmistakeable vocal part. Songs like Stay With Me and Autumn Leaves feature melancholy melodies that take on an entirely new meaning when sung by such a musical legend, while the highlight of the album, That Lucky Old Sun , has a stunningly uplifting vocal performance that perfectly complements the quietly beautiful arrangement of his band. The subtle, subdued and simple arrangements of these tunes are begging to be covered, performed and played in your own home. The calm backing instruments throughout the album make this Shadows In The Night sheet music songbook perfect for a solo Piano performance, a singer's reinvention or an intimate and acoustic band cover. With accurate transcriptions, this Bob Dylan sheet music is the best place from which to learn these incredible covers that just call out to be sung over and over. The best thing about Shadows In The Night is how universal and timeless it is. These are songs composed by some of the greatest, that were then made famous by one of the greatest, and now re
