Chasing Yesterday is the second album by the fantastic band Noel Gallagher's High Flying Birds , entirely written and produced by frontman Noel Gallagher himself. The album was hotly anticipated after the success of their debut, and now with this Noel Gallagher sheet music songbook, guitarists can learn every song from the album, arranged in standard notation and tab. Featuring all ten songs, including the lead single In The Heat Of The Moment and Riverman , named by Gallagher as one of the best songs he's ever written. This Chasing Yesterday sheet music also includes the wonderful track Ballad Of The Mighty I , with a Guitar part by ex-Smiths six-string wonder Johnny Marr. The songs throughout the album are reminiscent of Gallagher 's established style, recalling The Rolling Stones, T. Rex as well as the inevitable Oasis comparisons, despite Noel 's obvious development of the sound he cultivated during their reign. Every song is arranged in standard notation and tablature, so you don't have to read music to enjoy the excellent rock songs included on Chasing Yesterday . Each track also boasts chord symbols and diagrams, with full lyrics, so every crunchy chord and subtle solo can be yours to play, as well as the catchy lyrics if you see yourself as a Noel Gallagher -type singer-songwriter. The album itself was released to critical acclaim, with comparisons being made to 'Definitely Maybe', as well as to the strength and continuing development of Noel Gallagher as a writer and Noel Gallagher's High Flying Birds as an artistic vehicle for his straight-up rock sound. If you've heard the album and loved it, then this Chasing Yesterday sheet music is for you. You can learn every chord and note of these excellent tunes that you'll undoubtedly hear at all the biggest festivals in summer. As a songwriter, Noel Gallagher has far surpassed anything he did with Oasis. As a band, Noel Gallagher's High Flying Birds has proven that they can top the charts with a blend of catchy rock and solid playing. As a collection of sheet music, Chasing Yesterday will let you learn the Guitar parts for this album and prove that, after all, Guitar music is alive and well.
