Flight TUSL-EE Sunset Ecklund Travel Soprano Longneck Ukulele with Travel Bag

Strumming the Colours of Adventure

There's a truly enchanting quality to a sunset – no matter where you are in the world, the captivating colours streaked across the sky evoke a sense of wonder and inspiration. Those moments of watching the sun dip below the horizon, painting the world with hues of orange and pink, bring about feelings of adventure, freedom, and inner peace. Flight is proud to capture this magical essence on the Elise Ecklund Sunset ukulele, and now, we introduce the concert scale long-neck soprano version, the TUSL-EE, inviting musicians of all levels to embark on their musical journeys with a piece of the sunset by their side.

The Elise Ecklund Sunset ukulele has been a cherished favorite, and the TUSL-EE takes it to new heights by blending a concert scale neck with the original soprano body of the TUS series. This marriage offers the comfort of a concert-sized fretboard along with the punch and percussiveness characteristic of a soprano ukulele.

Featuring an arched ABS back, the TUSL-EE unleashes more volume within its middle range compared to the average soprano, while also resonating more freely and projecting a brighter sound. Furthermore, it is built to withstand humidity changes, eliminating the concerns that often plague wooden ukuleles.

The TUSL-EE's soundboard is crafted from laminate linden wood, prized for its bright sound and sleek texture. This choice not only maintains sound quality but also allows Flight to adorn the ukulele with a vibrant mountain sunset design that captures the essence of Elise Ecklund's inspiration.

Both the neck and fingerboard are constructed from durable ABS plastic, immune to weather-related issues, ensuring a consistently smooth and comfortable playing experience. The wood-patterned neck surface adds an authentic touch, making it a far cry from typical smooth plastic fretboards.

A zero fret, in conjunction with a unique bridge construction, keeps the string action low and intonation precise. Forget about having to fiddle with saddle adjustments, as the plastic remains stable regardless of environmental conditions. The uke's rounded back construction necessitated the addition of a strap button to prevent any sliding against your chest, ensuring comfortable playability.

Strung with Aquila Sugar strings, this uke delivers the perfect fusion of the sweetness and tone of nylon strings with the brightness and power of fluorocarbon. These strings offer unparalleled sustain, leaving players speechless. The headstock design, an integral part of Flight's identity, boasts a headstock veneer made of linden to complement the top's color. It proudly features Elise Ecklund's signature, harmoniously blending with the gradient of the sunset design.

Completing this stellar package is a stylish gig bag, making this travel ukulele the perfect companion for your adventures. To further enhance your journey to ukulele fame, we've revamped our start-up booklet, packed with essential information, including chord charts, strumming patterns, and tabs for an original song by Elise Ecklund herself.
