Flight introduces the Nomad, a solid mahogany ukulele in the styling of other models in the Royal Series–but with twist–the Nomad is offered first in the baritone scale!  Mahogany is a favourite wood in the world of ukulele, creating a warm, mellow tone that is ideal for many different genres of music.

However, this isn’t your classic “antique” mahogany ukulele, with its striking looks and its black binding and black cutaway.  And while there are alternative tunings for baritone ukuleles, we ship our ukuleles with standard linear DGBE tuning.  Looking for an excellent, well rounded baritone?  If so, don’t wander any further in your search–the Flight Nomad is the instrument for you.

The Flight Nomad Baritone Ukulele features a solid mahogany body and top. Mahogany is known for its classic warmth and depth, delivering a rich, resonant sound with impressive clarity and sustain. Often favoured for its balanced tone and smooth response, mahogany creates a beautifully mellow sound that works well across all genres. You won’t believe how “full” and “dynamic” this uke sounds!

The rosewood fingerboard of the Flight Nomad Baritone is smooth and durable, enhancing the instrument’s playability. Its rich tonal qualities help balance the sound, softening sharp high notes and complementing the warmth of the mahogany body.

The Nomad features a real bone nut and a compensated saddle. Compensated saddles help to properly set the intonation of each string. We developed our own set of baritone strings to deliver a contemporary sound and bright tone. The Flight Nomad features a traditional Flight headstock, in classic black with high quality geared tuners that will keep your ukulele in tune.

All of our Royal series ukuleles come with a luxury red gig bag with a purple infusion. Associated with royalty, this regal colour adds a final touch to our Royal Series. The bag features 20mm padding which is thick and will ensure good protection for your uke.

If you live in an area with low humidity, the wood of any instrument can dry and warp, causing issues with playability, such as fret buzz and dead string sounds. This isn’t a design fault; it’s how wood behaves naturally. We love the instruments we make, and we want you to continue enjoying them. Our Flight Nomad, as well as the Royal Series, comes with a Flight Ukulele Humidifier included.
