Flight DUC430 DAO Concert Ukulele – Low G Setup with Ernie Ball Strings & Padded Gig Bag

Professionally Set Up for Low G Tuning

A one-off Flight DUC430 Dao, professionally set up by one of our techs with premium Ernie Ball Low G strings – giving you the warmer, deeper and more guitar-like range of a Low G concert ukulele straight out of the bag.

This particular Flight DUC430 Dao has already been professionally set up by one of our techs for Low G tuning, replacing the standard string set with a premium Ernie Ball Concert/Tenor Low G Ukulele String Set.

The Ernie Ball set combines three black nylon strings with an 80/20 bronze-wound Low G string, giving the instrument an extended lower range and a fuller, warmer character than the traditional high-G ukulele setup.

If you've been specifically looking for a Low G concert ukulele, this is a great opportunity to pick up a DUC430 that has already had the conversion completed for you – simply tune up and play.

A Unique, One-Off Low G DUC430

Combined with its dedicated Low G setup, this makes it a particularly nice option for a player looking for something a little different from a standard off-the-shelf DUC430.

Dao is naturally highly figured timber and every DUC430 looks different. The instrument shown in the photographs is the exact ukulele you will receive, so you can see its individual grain and appearance before purchasing.

Dao Dream: The Flight DUC430 Concert Ukulele

Part of Flight's Supernatural series, the DUC430 is crafted from beautifully figured laminated Dao. Also known as Paldao or Dracontomelum dao, this South-East Asian timber features a distinctive grey-brown appearance, often with a subtle greenish cast and dramatic dark streaks running through the grain.

Beyond its distinctive appearance, Dao produces a lively, warm tone with tonal characteristics often compared with mahogany. Combined with this instrument's Low G configuration, the DUC430 offers a rich and versatile voice with additional depth at the bottom of its range.

The neck is crafted from African Okoume and paired with a Walnut fingerboard for a comfortable playing feel and stable intonation across the fretboard. Decorative abalone position markers add a distinctive finishing touch.

The nut and saddle are made from bone rather than plastic, helping provide clean transfer of string vibration and complementing the instrument's warm acoustic character.

At the headstock, classy gold die-cast geared tuners provide smooth and reliable tuning, complemented by Flight's distinctive headstock inlays.

A padded Flight gig bag is included, providing convenient protection for storage and transport.
