The title of this work by Gauthier Dupertuis refers to the novel Lord of the Flies by William Golding, published in 1954.

Lord of the Flies is intended to be a small symphonic poem describing different episodes of the book: the despair of the children stranded on the island, the use of the unifying conch and symbol of democracy, the adventures, and the formation of the camp and finally the savagery of the clan of Jack which undeniably leads to chaos. The finale is mysterious and half-tone, imbued with both the relief of having been rescued, and a deep sadness linked to the tragic events that have occurred on the island.

All the main themes and elements developed in the work come from the idea "d-e-f", exposed from the first bars. The orchestration is intended to be variable in geometry and avoids the main technical difficulties related to the instruments. However, the composer wanted to find as many colors as possible and avoided confining himself to too "simple" harmonies.

  • Standard Shipping is a fully tracked service offered through Australia Post. A tracking number will is provided once your order is shipped. Please allow 2-6 business days for delivery of your order. NT and WA customers should allow 6-8 days.

  • Sendle Courier is a courier service provided to most areas in Australia with deliveries being handled by Couriers Please and Aramex. Please allow 2-8 business days for delivery of your order.

  • Express Shipping is a fully tracked Express Service offered through Australia Post/Toll Priority.  A tracking number will is provided once your order is shipped. Please allow 1-3 business days for delivery of your order. NT and WA customers should allow 3-6 days.

Tracking Your Order

You will automatically receive your tracking information via the email you provided in the checkout as a tracking link. You can see the status of your parcel's journey there. If your parcel is taking longer than expected, let us know so we can locate your order. If selecting Economy Shipping, you will receive an email confirmation to notify you that your order has been shipped from our warehouse. You will not receive a tracking number for this service. 

Pre Orders

Please note that all 'single' pre-order books that arrive back in stock will ship via the standard Australia Post untracked service. The items that are in-stock will ship via your selected method at checkout, pre-orders will ship un-tracked when they arrive as to not incur an additional shipping fee.
