Alternative music and cultural icon Kim Gordon returns with her second self-titled album The Collective on March 8th. On first single BYE BYE, out January 16th, Gordon and collaborator Justin Raisen (Charli XCX, Sky Ferreria, Yves Tumor) shatter the limiting genre tags of punk, electronic, and spoken word poetry to form an innovative new sound built on blown out electronics, trap beats, and squealing guitars, setting the tone for what will be one of the most adventures albums of 2024.
Since co-founding the seminal Sonic Youth in the early 80s, Gordon has remained at the nexus of music, art and (more recently) books and film. She has debuted in the #1 spot on the NY Times Bestseller List with her 2015 memoir Girl In A Band, acted under the direction of Gus Van Sant (in 2018s Dont Worry, He Wont Get Far On Foot), released music and performed as one half of Body/Head alongside Bill Nace, and opened multiple solo-exhibitions at internationally renowned museums. Released in 2019, Kim Gordons debut album No Home Record received wide-ranging critical acclaim, including from The New York Times (The art star queen of New York cool), The Guardian ***** (brilliantly weds noise textures to pop dynamics), Sunday Times Album Of The Week (brutally good), Vogue (immediate, loose, and liberated….as ferocious as shes ever been), Vanity Fair (finds new ways to sound experimental) and Pitchfork Best New Music (thrilling solo debut lives at the vanguard of sound and performance). She debuted the album live with a full band at BBC 6 Music Festival in London before the start of the pandemic, and more recently has played select live dates at festivals including Riot Fest, Primavera and Corona Capital. Gordons output since No Home Record has encompassed art book/visual journal No Icon on Rizzoli, a single with former Dinosaur Jr. frontperson J Mascis, an exhibition of her paintings at New Yorks 303 art gallery, a commission for The Museum im Bellpark in Kriens in collaboration with artist Josephine Pryde, and a dance and music stage performance with choreographer Dimitri Shambles. Elsewhere, Gordon hosted a public sale of her iconic wardrobe, with all proceeds going to the Downtown Womens Center in Los Angeles.

Spend $129 or more in a single order and receive FREE tracked shipping Australia-wide. You'll receive tracking information by email once your order has been dispatched.
Express Shipping is a fully tracked priority Express Service offered through Australia Post and Team Global Express. A tracking number will be provided once your order has been shipped. Please allow approximately 1–2 business days for metro areas and additional time for regional and remote destinations, including some areas of WA, NT and North QLD.
Standard Shipping is a fully tracked service offered through Australia Post. Tracking information will be provided once your order has been shipped. Please allow 2–6 business days for delivery of your order. NT and WA customers should allow approximately 6–8 business days.
Courier Shipping is available to most areas across Australia, with deliveries handled by CouriersPlease, Aramex, Team Global Express or another suitable courier partner, depending on your location. Please allow approximately 2–8 business days for delivery. Tracking information will be emailed to you once your order has been dispatched.
Economy Shipping (Untracked) is our low-cost economy option, sent via Australia Post using postage stamps — good old-fashioned snail mail. This service does not include tracking. You'll receive an email confirmation once your order has been dispatched from our warehouse, but no tracking number or delivery updates will be available.
Please allow approximately 5–12 business days for delivery. We do not recommend untracked shipping for time-sensitive orders; please select a tracked or Express service if you need your order by a particular date. Music2u will not replace missing items under the untracked Economy Shipping option.
Customer Pickup (South East Melbourne)
Customer pickup is available from our Dingley Village, Melbourne VIC 3172 location. Pickup orders are generally processed within 24 hours, Monday–Friday. Once your order is ready, you'll receive an email and text message with your unique parcel locker code. Your order can then be collected from the Music2u Parcel Box 24/7, at a time that suits you. Please wait until you receive your ‘Order Ready’ text/email before arriving to collect your order. Your order will not be available for collection before this notification has been sent.
If an item is unavailable or requires additional time to arrive, we'll contact you by phone or email. If you require an urgent pickup, please contact us before ordering so we can confirm the stock is available onsite.
Tracking Your Order
For tracked shipping services, you'll automatically receive an email with your tracking link once your order has been dispatched. Simply follow the link to view the latest updates on your parcel's journey.

If you select Economy Shipping (Postage Stamps), you'll receive an email confirming when your order has been dispatched from our warehouse. As this is an untracked service, no tracking number or delivery updates are available.
Pre-Orders
If your order contains both in-stock and pre-order items, the in-stock items will be dispatched using the shipping method selected at checkout.
When a single pre-order book becomes available, it will generally be sent separately via untracked Australia Post at no additional shipping charge.
If you would prefer your pre-order to be sent via tracked or Express shipping, please contact us and we can arrange this for you. Additional shipping charges may apply.
If multiple pre-order items become available around the same time, we may combine them into one shipment where practical.
